Since I have only been listening to AT10 regularly since my affiliate picked it up in January, does anyone out there have a list of all the different spotlights that have been featured thus far on American Top 10?

As of November 20, 2004, AT10 flipped to all-Christmas shows. On November 20, November 27 and December 4, it was three hours of Christmas music, a different arrangement each week. On December 11 and December 18, they did a two-part Top 60 Christmas song special and on December 25, the Top 30 of 2004.
The regular AT10 shows started again on January 1, but my station had dropped the show by then. Could someone could list the AT10 spotlights from this year?

08/28/04: Artists who have made significant comebacks after at least ten years
This to me is the perfect example of the "we're reaching out there to create this one because we don't have any other ideas" spotlight theme.

Yeah, as is the 10/16/04 spotlight of random number one songs. And actually, the theme of the spotlight of 3/20/04 was sort of weak, especially for the debut of the Spotlight. Songs from movies or successful duos would seem more ideal to kick off the spotlight. This past week, they spotlighted hits from 1978. They should do this (play songs from a certain year) more often, say, like once a month. That way, they wouldn't run out of ideas so fast. Another idea would be "songs from this decade that just missed the Top Ten". As long as they truly "just missed the Top Ten" so they wouldn't tend to be as obscure. Songs that missed the Top Ten in the 80s and 90s would probably be out of the question, for obvious reasons.

I liked the "same title, different song" theme from 10/9. Another 2 song at a time theme could be "2 hit wonders". Basically, take an artist known for exactly 2 songs.
Lonestar could be an example, as they had exactly 2 hits on the AC chart (Amazed and I'm Already There). I'm sure the folks at Premiere would have some fun researching that one.

I agree. Actually there are several others that fit that category (Diamond Albums?, Triple Crown Winners?). I remember Louis Armstrong being featured in the "comeback" category, and not agreeing with that selection. After all, he was long deceased when he made his "comeback", which to me doesn't count. To me, a comeback is when the artist records new material after a long absense and it does really well.

Here are some themes that I would like to hear on the AT10 spotlight segment in the future:
Songs with body parts in the title Songs from the Motown label Songs with Numbers in the title Songs dealing with infidelity Songs from singers who starred in movies and TV shows Songs relating to telephones Songs relating to space Artists from Australia Songs with foreign phrases Artist born in the same month Artist born in the same state Teen acts Top 10 songs from the AC chart in the same week from a previous year (for example, Top 10 songs on the AC charts this week in 1993). Artist who share the same first name Songs that hit during an election year Top 10 hits on the pop charts that weren't No. 1 hits Top 40 hits on the pop charts that weren't Top 10 hits Songs with a color in the title Songs from female groups Have an AT10 spotlight featuring only one artist.
That's a lot right there, but I thought it would be great to throw in some suggestion on topics for the AT10 spotlight in the future.
