The number one song on American Top 10 for the 20th straight week is "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys. That is amazing. "Heaven" has now been No.1 on AT10 for over 4 months now. That has got to be a record for the most weeks at No. 1 on the AC chart. It is amazing to have a song at No. 1 on any chart for that many weeks.

Casey actually mentioned LAST week on AT10 that 19 weeks tied it for 2nd place. The record is 22 weeks, and for the absolute life of I can not remember what it was.
I know the record on Hot AC is "Smooth" by Santana/Rob Thomas with 25 weeks.

"Drift Away" by Uncle Kracker is the current champ. "Heaven" does stand a chance at catching 22 weeks, but 25 could be questionable. Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway" is looking to take over #1 honors, but even if it does, there could still be a month or two of toss-up weeks, where the 2 songs randomly alternate between #1.

speaking of this weeks AT10, after hearing this week's LDD on AT10, I dont want to hear anymore how they sometimes have to change songs because it doesn't fit the format!

For a while there, I almost expected Premiere to pull a "same title, different song" and play the Rembrandts song on one of the shows.

well, back in the AT40 w/Casey days there was as request for "Hero" which by the letter you could tell was CLEARLY meant to be Mariah Careys version, but instead they played Chad Kroger & Josey Scott's so there is definitely precedent for that action!

The Number 1 song again this week for the 21st straight week is "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys. The streak continues. How ironic is that before "Heaven" was played, Casey played "Drift Away" by Uncle Cracker & Dobie Gray, and Casey mentioned that "Drift Away" spent 22 weeks at Number 1 on the AC charts. Amazingly, the 2 of the longest running No.1 hits in AC history were played back to back on AT10.

The Number 1 song on AT10 again this week, for the record tying 22nd consecutive week is "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys. It seems like when you hear "Heaven" on AT10, you know that the show is just about over. Anyway, congradulations to Los Lonely Boys on tying the record for the most consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the AC charts, next week we will see if it will break the record.
