I don't know that if many of you guys who listen to American Top 10 have noticed lately that many country artists are having hits appearing on AT10. I would like to know, is country music a part of Adult Contemporary music? I feel that country music is now making its prescence on the AC charts.

Country artists have been on the AC charts for years now (and Hot AC, and even the rare CHR/Pop apperance) with some of their 'pop sounding' stuff. The Top 10 of the AC chart seems to have more country style songs than usual right now, but I don't see it as anything super out of the ordinary.
And yes, every country song I have heard on American Top 10 and Dick Clark's US Music Survey I have heard during regular programming on my AC stations.

Thats because country music has a more mainstream/ac feel to it then the CHR charts anymore. I don't think that is going to be changing anytime soon.

I commend Tim McGraw and Keith Urban on their crossover achievements. It seemed that the only country males that AC gave a chance were groups (Little Texas, Lonestar, Diamond Rio) and Kenny Rogers. Collin Raye had marginal success, largely due to being attached to Jim Brickman.
I'm not saying I want the Top 10 to be filled with country songs, but I will say I'm glad to see some manage to cross over.
