Aside from November and December pre-emptions, how many stations have flat out dropped AT10 since its incarnation? It's gotta be at least 25.
Were stations dropping the show like this prior to the AT20/AT10 switch last March? Are these affiliates just running their local playlists in the old AT10 slots, or are they getting new shows like Tesh and Dick Clark? If it's the second, I think Casey needs to go somewhere in that direction. Either a "Music Magazine" style of show like Tesh, or a full Top 20 countdown like Dick Clark and the old AT20, where the countdown is not a secondary aspect of the show like it is on AT10.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the main reason that the stations are dropping the show is because of the AT20 to AT10 switch. If it was about helping keep the show on the air, they've failed miserably. If it was about helping the show to fail in a ploy to get Casey out of the countdown show business (which I have a feeling is possible), then they've taken a step, if not more than one, in the right direction.
All signs point to this, what with Ryan Seacrest taking over AT40 and Ryan also doing a Hot AC show, which could possibly hurt American Top 20. Now, with the AC show being chopped down, stations don't like it and are dropping the show like a bad transmission. It's only a matter of time before Casey is gone from the radio airwaves for good.
Looks like a good time to revive AT40 Flashback, IMO.

Does anybody believe more radio stations might drop AT10? Those non Clear Channel stations don't want to be stuck airing reruns of old Christmas shows for November and December.
Q92 in Montreal replaced AT10 with Leeza Gibbons during the month of November, but did return with AT10 in December.
BTW, OZ FM airs the Hot AC version of AT40 on Sundays. On Saturdays OZ FM airs the CHR version.

It appears WSNY 94.7 FM (Sunny 95) in Columbus, Ohio has dropped AT10 with Casey Kasem. I remember listening to AT10 WSNY on the web just about a month ago. However, when I was visiting Columbus this past weekend for a Detroit Red Wings game, I thought I would hear Casey Sunday morning on WSNY. However, to my surprise WSNY was just playing their regular lite songs. It 9:50 a.m. the DJ said goodbye and the next DJ will take over after 10. If you go to WSNY website, there is no reference to Casey or AT10. Fortunately, when driving back home Sunday night Casey was on WRVF in Toledo.

It appears KKCW in Portland, OR dropped AT10. Its been this way for the last 3 weeks. It was the AT10 station for the night owls on the eastern time zone on Sunday nights. Checking yes.com for KKCW, it doesn't show the AT10 playlist.

I do not enjoy posting more stations dropping Casey Kasem. MacDonald Garber Broadcasting in Michigan has dropped all their Premiere radio shows expect AT40 w/Ryan on WKHQ. That means AT10 no longer airs on WLXT in Petoskey, Michigan. This went into effect in July 2007. (AT20 also no longer airs on WLXV in Cadillac, Michigan) I was in Northern Michigan recently. At 7 am Sunday I tuned in to WLXT. They now just play their regular lite music on Sunday mornings. Fortunately, WFCX airs AT40 the 70s and 80s on Sundays, and much better time slots on Sunday mornigs/early afternoon.

I was in Northern Michigan this past weekend. It appears WLXT has brought back AT10. AT10 did air on WLXT on 8/19. However, they aired the 8/12 show. Since WLXT does webcast, I'll check next Sunday and see which show they air. Btw, I checked WLXV, they still don't air AT20.

I checked WLXT this morning from their webcast feed. It appears they are back on track. They aired the correct AT10 show on 8/26. The theme was top songs of 1987.

Here in Southwestern Connecticut,we've been without "American Top 10" since December 2004-Top rated AC station WEBE in Westport aka:"WEBE 108" discontinued airing the show at the end of that year-I thought that their competition WEZN aka "Star 99.9" would've picked up the show-Nope,it hasn't happened-I have to rely on out of town stations in Long Island,NY,Orlando,FL,& Grand Rapids,MI to get my weekly fix of "AT10".
