On AT10 spotlight this week on American Top 10, Casey spotlighted artists who are now deceased. Can somebody give me a list of all of the artists and songs that were featured on the AT10 spotlight this week? I feel asleep for parts of the show, and I missed some of the artists that were featured this week.

Everytime I stop listening to weekly countdown shows, they end up playing really quality stuff.

On the AT10 Spotlight this week, Casey featured songs that were on the charts back in 1972. I found it very interesting that they spotlighted songs from 1972 this week, and the timing couldn't have been perfect for 2 reasons:
1. I was born in 1972.
2. My birthday is on Wednesday.

Let me be the first to say Happy Birthday.

There's a vicious rumor going around that Jerome began an email campaign to Casey's staff asking them to do that spotlight this week.

I just want to set the record straight before this rumor gets out of control, is that I didn't contact Casey's staff about doing songs from 1972 on this week's AT10 spotlight. This week's segment caught me by surprise, so I had nothing to do with it.

I wonder how far they would go on in the future ? 1972 - I can't believe it !!! This is music from 33 years ago !! I believe it's a bit heavy to spotlight on such old songs for about 3 hours. I have nothing against single songs from that era during the programme, but I believe 1972's music should belong to an all oldies format, not to Mix and AC outlets of today. Not within that close concentration ! What may become next ? 1965 ? 1958 ? 1944 ? Hopefully they are getting back to "normal" AC music, as they will ruin the show if this all continues very often.

AC radio plays a lot of songs from the 70s (at least around here), but very few from the pre-70s.

In this week's Spotlight segment, Casey featured songs from 1976. It's fitting since this past week, VH-1 did a series called, "I Love The 70's", and of course, 1976 was also featured. On AT10, Casey mentioned topics ranging from Nadia Comanechi's perfect 10 at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, which was also featured on "I Love The 70's, and played "Baby I Love Your Way" by Peter Frampton, and PF did a segment on "I Love The 70's" called "Guitar Gods" and on the 1976 edition, he was one of the "Guitar Gods" featured.
