This in spite of the program accomdating the Holiday AC (Radio & Records gave it a name) programing.
I know that KGBY is not airing the show and my local station has done it too.

WALK on Long Island is no longer airing the show, despite the fact that they've switched over to all Christmas music as of Friday.

KGBY dropped AT10. I know this because I called them.

It appears WLIT in Chicago removed Casey Kasem's American Top 10. They used to air the show on Saturday nights. On Christmas night, WLIT played Christmas music. However, on New Year night, WLIT just played their regular AC Music. No special show at all. The only other possibility could be WLIT moved AT10 to a new time slot.

I sure hope that's what happened, but I wouldn't count on it. If so, I have no stations on which to catch the show (unless there's a station in my area that I don't know about). I've tried calling the station but I either always get a busy signal or there's no answer. And I've e-mailed the Program Director twice this past month, asking about the AT10 Top 30 of 2004 program, but he never got back to me. I mean, come on, is it too much work to shoot me a brief e-mail, something like:
Chris
I regret to inform you that WLIT is no longer broadcasting AT10.
Yours truly, Eric Richeke
That's all - you don't have to write a novel, just a short note, telling me that AT10 has been dropped or moved to a new time slot. Oh well, that's the breaks. At least they're not running the commercial breaks, like WTMX did for the first few months after they dropped Casey's Hot 20 in early 1996. I boycotted the station when I found out what they were doing. What the heck was the Program Director smoking, anyway?

The program director as most of the office staff was probably off work for the holiday week. Monday will be busy for them, trying to catch up on work. Tuesday, will be a less busy day. So try calling the station on Tuesday and use the office line and see what they say.

The show has returned to WALK 97.5 on Saturday nights. It was off the air for about 4 weeks beginning with the first Christmas show.
