After about a year of being off the Cleveland airwaves, Bob Kingsley is back on the same station that dropped him early last summer, WGAR.
When the switch was made in 2006, the old ACC with Bob had been airing Sundays 8-Noon. WGAR put CT40 on in this slot with the new ACC airing immediately following CT40 from Noon-4. Early last summer, CT40 was dropped and Kix moved to the 8am slot. Now, Bob is back, and on an hour later, every Sunday from 9am-1pm. And yes, Kix is no more on WGAR.

I'm just wondering how many other stations are going to ax Kix Brooks. I've listened to several of his shows, and really gave it a go, but I do not like it. I think I preferred it because it was the BB chart, but now I really don't care. The songs are the same (in different order), and sometimes Bob's has titles that don't make ACC.
Here are the gripes I have with Kix Brooks ACC:
1. They brag about being the only show to get to use BB, but screw up the info anyhow and ignore it. For example they keep saying George Strait has over 50 #1s, when he only has what 43 BB #1's. Just because that CD was called 50 #1s that don't make it gospel.
Kix Brooks 1/14/06, and 1/28/06 show had the positions wrong from the official BB chart.
Several other intantces, heck they've got Joel Whitburns books to go by for info. They also screwed up when Keith Urban debuted on the whole chart at #17, he said Garth Brooks held the record with "Good Ride Cowboy" at #18, that's half true but Eddie Rabbitt's "Every Which Way But Loose" set the standard by debuting at #18 as well. It was under old chart methodology, probably would've been even higher under the BDS system. To have Eddie debut that high under those rules is almost more impressive.
2. Kix is always chuckling to himself, and saying y'all etc etc, gets annoying.
3. The show starts out with about a three to four minute banter, get the music started.
I'd like to hear other takes on this

It would be nice if Bob Kingsley would air in southeast Michigan. We have 3 country stations. Clear Channel has WWWW and WDTW. CBS radio has WYCD. However, all 3 stations do not air him. WYCD only airs the CBS CMT Countdown, WDTW only airs Premiere/Clear Channel Foxworthy countdown. WWWW has one of their moring djs countown the top hits.
Telling program directors/management will not help. I tried that. Bob Kingsley has not been on Southeast Michigan Radio since Labor Day weekend in 1999. Thank goodness I can pick up his show on the web. The Kix Brooks ACC version has never aired here either.
