Dennis Bryon, drummer for the Bee Gees passed away November 14 at the age of 75. He joined the Bee Gees in 1973 and was the drummer during their disco period before departing in 1981.
Colin "Smiley" Petersen passed away November 17 at the age of 78. Reports say a fall contributed to his death. When the Bee Gees moved from Australia to England in 1966, Colin joined the group as their drummer. He appeared on their first five LPs, leaving the band in the early 70s over disagreements with their manager Barry Stigwood.
In both cases upon departure, they would become drummers for Bee Gees' tribute bands. Dennis would drum for the Italian Bee Gees which was also led by three brothers. Colin drummed for The Best Of The Bee Gees tribute show.
