Singer Jack Jones Passes at age 86

Singer Jack Jones passed away Oct 23, 2024 at the age of 86. He sang the Love Boat TV theme song and I recall he had a few hits in the mid 1960's, Wives & Lovers, being the highest charting.

May Jack Jones rest in peace. 

He had a cameo in the film Airplane II: The Sequel from 1982 as Robert Hays' character Ted Striker avoids searchlights while escaping the Ronald Reagan Hospital for the Mentally Ill, the beams become a spotlight on Jones, performing a verse from "The Love Boat Theme".

Other than that, my other all-time favorite song is his version of "The Impossible Dream (The Quest)" #35 Billboard Hot 100 & #1 Adult Contemporary in 1966.
