Sinus cancer took the life of Screamin' Scott Simon on September 5 at the age of 75.
He was the pianist/vocalist with Sha Na Na. His tenure with the band lasted over 50 years, ending when the band retired from touring in 2022.
In addition to appearing in the movie Grease, he was a co-writer of the song "Sandy" sung by John Travolta in the movie.
Sha-Na-Na also had their own syndicated television series that ran from 1977 to 1981.
