Legendary comedic actor Martin Mull passed away June 27 at the age of 80. Best known for his roles in television, Martin broke into show business as a songwriter in the early 70s. He wrote a parody song "A Girl Named Johnny Cash" which was a minor country hit for Jane Morgan. Martin's own recordings included the seasonal "Santa Doesn't Cop Out On Dope", and this parody instrumental that peaked at #92 in 1973. Dueling Tubas - Martin Mull & OrchestraObituary

Do you remember in 1990-1991 Shadoe Stevens AT40 commercial breaks the T.G.I. Friday's radio commercials with Martin Mull as spokesperson?
