Songwriter Mark James Dies at Age 83

Songwriter Mark James passed away in Nashville on June 8, at the age of 83. Many of my favorite songs from the 1960's, Suspicious Minds and Hooked On A Feeling, he had a hand in writing.

Hope the next 1974 AT40: The 70's show has "Hooked on a Feeling" by Blue Suede as an OPTIONAL EXTRA to honor Mark James.

Oddly, an upcoming 70s countdown (the one sometimes called "The Guess") includes "One Hell of a Woman," co-written by James with its singer, Mac Davis.
