Listening to the 4/26/97 show and "MMM Bop" was blazing up the chart. I checked the stats on it and noticed something (to me) bizarre: it would drop from #1 to #6 ,after its 9 week run at the top, later in the year.
For that time, I can't imagine a song dropping further from #1 than that, but I have no clue how right or wrong I am on that. I was wondering for the nine plus years of CT, what were the biggest drops from #1? I thought "Step By Step" would be a candidate, but even it only dropped from #1 to #2.

I remember on 8/1/1992, one of the biggest falls from #1 and leaps into #1 took place. Mark Elliott guest-hosted that weekend. "I'll Be There" by Mariah Carey fell to #8 after six weeks on top, while "This Used To Be My Playground" by Madonna jumped all the way to #1 from #10.
