Today is the chart/Top 30 of May 9, 1998. Really bad choice this week. Not only did this chart air last year, but the chart from a week later has aired five times. Maybe we need to give May 1998 a break?! Also, they played a different version of "No, No, No" than what was on the radio at the time.

Speaking of what was on the radio at the time, the most played top 40 song (#1 in Radio & Records and thus the newly reborn AT40) was "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia, which doesn't show up at all here as there was no physical single of it released and so it wasn't eligible for the Hot 100 under Billboard's increasingly outdated rule, which was changed later that year.

Also this week, Julie Brown claims that Babyface was a member of the group After 7. Actually, that was his brother.

Rick Dees has the 5/16/98 show on his app this week and what a huge difference between that chart and this one. Torn was #1 and there were many great songs on the chart. It is really too bad Sirius XM cannot feature the Radio and Records charts instead of Billboard. I can’t say it enough.

Today is the chart/Top 30 of May 25, 1996. This chart was previously featured in 2016. To date, it's the only May 1996 chart they've ever featured. We've still never had one from July of that year and I'm fully expecting to not get one this year either. Also, they played an "exclusive" live version of Old Man & Me.

They played a weird remix of "Do You Want Me" that seemed to sample music from A Charlie Brown Christmas. (No, I'm not making that up...)
