The documentary has already premiered in Des Plaines Theater on May 21, and is on the arthouse traveling tour. It was last on June 25 in Hobart Theatre, Hobart, IN. Still in Chicago nearby area, the next sneak preview is scheduled for July 9 in the Acorn Theatre (Three Oaks, MI). All showings include Q&A sessions with the makers of the film. This one hour docu might only get released to specialized festival circuits later. But it has already been bought by PBS. My guess is it will be shown in the upcoming new fall season on PBS’ “American Masters” series.

I do remember the event at the Des Plaines Theater now that you mention it. Drive by that theater almost every day. Looks like Ron Onesti did a good job with the restoration.
