I remember seeing Harry Belafonte perform a live-action musical segment on Sesame Street. I believe the song was "The Coconut Counting Man", which he sang along with Count Von Count (Jerry Nelson) who wore a straw hat and tropical clothes instead of his usual vampire-style attire.
Did "Jump in the Line" ever make the Billboard top 40? I remember that song from the closing scene in Beetlejuice when a young girl celebrated her "A" grade while dancing in mid-air just before the closing credits. I saw that movie in mid-April 1988. Can't believe it was 35 years ago.

"The Banana Boat Song" was Harry Belafonte's most successful hit-Stan Freberg did a comedic version of it as well.
