I wasn't sure which Casey topic to post this under, so I put it here. Just wanted to see if we can get some idea of how many stations in the listening areas of this site's users carry Casey's shows versus Ryan's shows (see similar poll under AT40 w/Ryan section).

None of his shows air here, however, having a decent station here to put him on would be somewhere to start...which is why I doubt he is ever on here again.

There's no AC or HAC station in your market, Paul?

There's no AC or HAC station in your market, Paul? There's an AC station in this craphole, but not one in which a self respecting countdown host would want his show on. This is not just my hatred of Jacksonville, MANY people who have moved here from other places agree that the radio stations around here suck.

Interesting...as of this writing (1:50pm ET on 4/26), 6 people have voted in this poll, and 6 in the Ryan poll. In both cases, 5 people get at least one of the shows. Probably a good thing.
Of course, if you read that About.com article (see the thread in AT40 Classics) about Casey, it mentions that AT40 in the 80s had 1000 radio stations! My how things have changed!

Casey is on a couple stations around dc. Only ONE station thats actually IN dc carrys Casey. Casey gets no respect in Washington. I don't know about his coverage from back in the 70s, I remember hearing him back then but I wasn't into radio till the mid 80s. I'm pretty sure he was here throughout the 80s on Q107, which continued to air AT40 w/ shadoe until they changed to mix in 1990, after that AT40 was never heard in Washington until its revival w/ Ryan Seacrest. Casey's top40 did premiere on Power105 but that station went christian in 1992, subsequently no more CT40 for dc either. I don't recall when, but AT20 AC which is now AT10 was/is on Wash fm, I'm guessing somewheres near the turn of the century. Wash fm also aired the AT40 flashback show which was the only station i knew of in the area that aired it. Soo.... Wash fm in DC airs AT10 WINC fm, near dc, out in the valley, bout 40 miles away, carries AT20 B101.5, 50 miles south of dc also carries AT20. Ryan seacrests at40 IS on in dc on Hot99.5 Basically any station in a 100 mile radius of dc, trys to get a peice of the dc market which translate into AD $$'s
