Has Anybody heard the new Randy Jackson Countdown and what type of music do they play and what chart do they use R&R most likely. I should suspect that they play R&B or Smooth R&B becuase WKIS in New York That Airs it is a Smooth R&B staton. has anybody heard this show and how was it.

I know there are two versions...the R&B version you mentioned and a Hot AC version, which is kind of an unusual combination in my opinion.

I thought that was the case also, but I was really tired last night couldnt remember if the show was 2 Hot AC versions (1 leaning towards newer music/1 leaning towards older) or an R&B/Hot AC version.

I finaly heard the Randy Jackson Adult R&B version of the show yesterday on WRKS in New York. He has a co-host Keysha Monk and they do a great job togeher. i think as with most westwood one shows radio and records is the source and A good one. Not BB like I'd want but then again it's a top 30 and BB does only publish a top 25 Adult R&B. Good job I willl listen again.

Kinda unrelated, but I'll ask anyway: is Urban AC the R&R equivalent to Billboard's Adult R&B?

I have heard that Q104 in Cleveland has picked up the show, running it from 9-Midnight on Sunday nights (which is the same slot AT20 was on before it was dropped nearly 5 years ago). Haven't been home on a Sunday night to hear it yet, and most likely wont for a while - but it is on.

PS - Q104 is about as Hot AC as you can get, so unless they decided to go urban 3 hours a week, they are running the Hot AC version.
