Company B had only one top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in much of the latter half of spring and beginning of summer 1987, titled "Fascinated". They never had a top ten hit.
But what if Company B had continued recording singles beyond 1987?
I'd say, if Company B would have continued producing singles after "Fascinated", they probably would have later had a top ten hit by 1989 or 1990 - with a ballad. Many freestyle dance music acts have been famous for their upbeat music, but had the best success on the charts with ballads. Such acts include Expose, Sweet Sensation and Stevie B. - their biggest hits were ballads. What are your thoughts on this?
