As many of you know, I am a big weather buff (as well as music nerd. This thread will highlight songs that were popular when weather records occurred. Where I used to live, near Binghamton, NY, their weather station opened shortly before the rock era began. Here in St. Loyus, there were a lot of records that occurred during--and even before--the rock era. It is a good thing that my sister found the Pop Memories book for me one Christmas a few years back. The St. Louis record high occurred in '99, but not the '99 with Mariah Carey, RLC, et al but 100 years before:
The first column is the temperature, followed by the year, and then the number one song.
90 1899 “A Picture No Artist Can Paint” (Steve Porter) 30 1937 “That Old Feeling” (Shep Fields) Another big hit: “Ebb Tide” (Bunny Berigan & His Orchestra)
I am curious about what other members' record high and record low songs are.

Here is the data for Binghamton, NY area:
14 80 1954 “Mr. Sandman” 24 1993 “Dreamlover” Replacement: “Another Sad Love Song” (Toni Braxton)
The snowiest October 14 in Binghamton history was when two tenths of an inch came down, during the year of this week's A show, 1980, when Queen was at No. 1 and Devo's autumnal tune "Whip It" was moving up. The rainiest Oct. 14 was in 1995, when Mariah Carey's "Fantasy" was No. 1. That was the day that my friends Camille and Chris got married and 2 inches of rain fell.
