And another countdown show bites the dust: R&R reports that "Carson Daly's Most Requested" will cease production at the end of March. Daly and Premiere, the article states, will be working together to come up with another syndicated program. I used to listen to this show once in a while when I lived in Augusta. Once I tired of the CHR format I stopped listening.

never heard it. I know it airs on WFKS here but at some time I was never listening to the radio. I assume it aired in Orlando too, but I couldn't tell you yay or nay on that one for sure.

It was kind of like the TRL show on Mtv, except you got to hear all of the songs on the countdown in their entirety, and there were no annoying teenagers screaming in the background.

TRL was an MTV (or VH1) video music countdown show that aired in the after school hours that gave Carson Daly his first big gig.
As for Most Requested, it was a daily one hour Top 10 countdown distributed by Premiere. It aired on WAKS/Cleveland for years, but it was dropped sometime in 2004. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't AT40 either.
