Long time Yes drummer Alan White passed away May 26 in his Seattle home after a brief illness. He would have celebrated his 73rd birthday June 14. Alan was recruited by John Lennon and Yoko Ono as a drummer for the Plastic Ono Band. In addition to touring, he drummed on the single "Instant Karma (We All Shine On)" as well as the majority of the "Imagine" album including the title track. He was also the featured drummer on George Harrison's epic "All Things Must Pass" release. He joined Yes in 1972 after drummer Bill Bruford left to join King Crimson. At the time of his passing, Alan had become the longest tenured member of Yes in the wake of bassist Chris Squire's death in 2015. Alan leaves behind Gigi, his wife of over 40 years, his daughter Cassi and son Jesse. Obituary
