I know many of us (including myself) are big 80's music fans. Over the last few weeks I have found myself tuning into a new 80's show, "Saturday Night 80's with Todd Michaels". It is syndicated out of Westwood One, and it is set via a sattelite feed versus CD's or download - so all affiliates air it at the same time (which is 8pm-3am EST). All but the last hour is hosted by Todd Michaels, and the 2am-3am hour is hosted by someone named Jim I believe. It is off of one of the Westwood One AC feeds.
It's a mix between the common everyone knows 'em hits that Backtrax USA plays and the rare tracks you don't always know or remember that Nina Blackwood plays.
Todd is a pretty good host as well - upbeat and energetic, and there are always plenty of giveaways (this week it is a DVD set) and lots of 80's pop culture trivia.
Todd hasn't been host of the show all that long...before him it was hosted by Bill O'Brien.
Anyway...for anyone looking for another 80's music show for the weekend, I definately recommend checking out Saturday Night 80's. It can be heard in the Northeast Ohio/Northwest PA market on WMXY/Youngstown, OH and WXXO/Meadville-WOXX/Franklin PA.

I might have to record it and listen later someday. Saturday nights are family movie night, boxing night, and of course, TNA Impact night. ;D

I guess this competes with the ABC-produced "Saturday Night At The 80s" with WPLJ-FM (New York) morning co-host Todd Pettingill as host.
