Totally forgot about Icehouse. Crazy (#14) and Electric Blue (#7) in spring of '88. They're a terrific band. For the longest time those were the only two Icehouse songs I knew. That Icehouse album was produced by John Oates, I believe. By the way, we can also add Blue Oyster Cult #12 - (Don't Fear) The Reaper #40 - Burnin' For You Oates co-wrote Electric Blue and provided backing vocals.

Would Sonny Charles make the list? (1969 - one year before AT40's launch as the Checkmates III member with "Black Pearl", and 1983 solo with "Put it in a Magazine").

I have 21 more acts to add tomorrow, fairly easily, plus 2 more, not sure when, with some difficulty. No hints, other than BOC, HLS and GM are in the easy set of 21. I thought I had someone beating Fanny's last place holding, but, alas, nope, the act will be in between Teddy P and L Taylor. =( Pete B. posted on page 6 about New Birth. And I think they would have beat Fanny's last place holding. But upon looking at Joel Whitburn's book, I see that they were previously called the Nite-Liters and had a hit, barely, giving them 3 hits. Here is the rundown of their hits..."K-Jee" (#39), "I Can Understand it" (#35), "Dream Merchant" (#36). For three hit wonders, they surely must have the last place position!

Joe South, Andrea True Connection and Sonny Charles have been added to the list. Anyone else, besides KT Tunstall, that should be included?

Joe South #12 Games People Play (1969) #12 Walk a Mile in My Shoes (1970) Between them he 'missed it by THAT MUCH' when "Don't It Make You Wanna Go Home" stalled at #41 for 2 weeks in October '69. Good song, the best of the three, IMO.
