You beat me out. I was thinking of Gene McDaniels' song "A Thousand Pounds of Clay." Yours is 32 times heavier. Gene only had 'A Hundred Pounds Of Clay', not a thousand, so Ernie is heavier still by a factor of 10. Yup. You're absolutely right. That's what I get for trying to post about songs that are older than I am!

I think April Wine's "Roller" sounds heavy, despite not being a heavy metal band, but more of a rock band. I learned that April Wine were from Atlantic Canada, and I heard the band had a member from Newfoundland - is this true?

Two of the three founding members were indeed 'Newfies', from St. John's--brothers David and Richie Henman.
