There's an article on R&R's website about Kingsley teaming up with Jones Media Group to distribute the new CT40 domestically. Also notes that Bob was heard on 56 of the top 100 markets at the end of his stint at ACC, and his new show debuted in 38 of the top 100. Also notes that Radio Express will be distributing the show internationally. RE is owned by Tom Rounds, who we all know and worship. By the way, Paul, it states in the article that WQIK supposedly aired both shows (CT40 and ACC) last weekend. At least, they were supposed to air both shows.
I know this doesn't have anything to do with Kix Brooks' poster, but I figured the other ACC threads were getting a little full.

So of the 56 major markets that had ACC in '05, nearly a third jumped ship completely to CT40, and another handful are fence-straddling, carrying both shows. Let's see where the tally is at the start of the next quarter.

Thanks! radio-online.com, in it's article about the CT40-JMG deal, says that CT40 "debuted on January 1st on over 300 affiliates". Methinks Shadoe-er-Kix is in for a tough time.
(not a knock on Shadoe, by the way, just the weirdness of the whole eerie situation)

Scary to think that the exact same thing is happening again, the only thing changed being the music format.

Mediaweek.com states in an article that Kingsley's ACC "had over 400 affiliates".
His new show debuted on over 300.
Think the brain sturgeons at ABC are sweating a little?
Something tells me it ain't gonna be seven years until we see the end of ACC. That's where the parallels between 1989 and 2006 will end.

Well, for the first year or two I can see a small bump in affiliates as I can see other country stations in the same market who have been shut out of having ACC for years possibly picking it up thinking it is still as popular as it always was.

I noticed the CT40 website finally took down that countdown clock that was at negative 7 days the last time I checked.

Lee Logan, recently hired by ABC to be director of affiliate relations for ACC with Kix Brooks, has abruptly quit to become PD of a station in Albuquerque, NM.
What's that old saying about not going down with a sinking ship?
