The Vancouver, Canada native worked there and in Hawai'i and Las Vegas before relocating to the West Coast, where he impressed a young David Foster enough to get hired as a member of Skylark, who would reach the top 10 in both Canada and (thanks to CKLW) the U.S. with "Wildflower"... after they broke up, he joined Elton John's company, which released a few solo recordings and got him backup-singer work, such as on "Captain Fantastic..."... in the 80s he'd reunite with Foster as one of the singers on the composer's "Love Theme from St. Elmo's Fire". www.billboard.com/music/music-news/donny-gerrard-dead-wildflower-singer-1235027826/dL

Can't believe it's been almost 50 years since "Wildflower" was a hit-That's an outstanding song.
