The Rock Hall didn't learn from their mistake of inducting Smokey Robinson before The Miracles!

There's a lot of WTFs on this list, IMO. Just unreal how some of these artists, let alone some of those that are first-time nominees, are not even in yet. 😲

I'd like to see Pat Benatar & Duran Duran get inducted this year-They were the two of the most iconic acts of the 80's.

Dolly Parton has withdrawn her name from Hall of Fame consideration. She says she doesn't feel she is rock and roll enough. This seems stunning as she is in 4th place in the current fan balloting.

I can understand why Dolly did this-Granted,she had a few hits crossover to the pop chart such as "Here You Come Again","Two Doors Down" & "9 To 5"-But I'm inclined to think that she's a country artist first & foremost.

I think her multi-covered songs like “I Will Always Love You” and “Jolene” were much more responsible for her getting considered in the first place; after all Johnny Cash and Brenda Lee have been inducted into R&R Hall of Fame (although both have history of Rockabilly works as well, while Dolly Parton does not.) Also in 2012, Axl Rose refused being considered just a few days before the ceremony, but eventually was inducted with the rest of Guns ‘n Roses anyway.
