Anyone out there an amatuer chart statisician like I am? If you are, you might be interested in my calculation of the top 100 songs of the R&R Hot AC chart, 1994-2005. I rank the songs based on an inverse point system determined by the song's position on the weekly charts. I tried two different methods, and you can view them at: calbean.users3.50megs.com/at20/top100hac.htmlcalbean.users3.50megs.com/at20/top100hac_altn.htmlIf anyone is interested in the math, let me know. Happy New Year!

Do you add extra points for weeks at #1, or position in top 10 or anything?

Back when I did the calculations by hand, I did add relatively small bonus points for peak position and weeks at #1. However, I'm still a novice at Excel and have not figured out how to do that yet easily. At any rate, the bonus points I awarded were small compared to the huge point totals songs earn in the PPW era.
