^Ah, so that explains it - 10/24/1992 was NOT a one-dropper only show. That makes my third theory a little more feasible.

Another AT40 show post 1983 where the droppers weren't mentioned was 1/12/1991 when the duo Nelson guest hosted for Shadoe Stevens and the only debut was "Love Makes Things Happen" by Pebbles and Babyface.

There was February 7, 1987, and also a show sometime in the fall of 1987. Thinking it might have been 10/31/1987, but I can't be sure. And this weekend's AT40: The 70's 2/21/1987 is another AT40 show post December 1983 where the droppers were not mentioned!

And this weekend's AT40: The 70's 2/21/1987 is another AT40 show post December 1983 where the droppers were not mentioned! I remember that when I was listening to the show in its original run. I was wondering where songs like "Caught Up In The Rapture" and "Without Your Love" were, since they had been moving up the week before (I did not know they were unbulleted). As the show progressed, I realized that those songs had fallen out.
