Anyone else enjoy their music? I do. I was watching Lawrence Welk a few hours ago and they had a Big Band show and one of the songs was a Guy Lombardo song.
His music reminds me a lot of 1930s hits, which I love. Even the ones he recorded after the 1930s. I'd rather listen to Guy Lombardo than all but a few hits of the last 30 years. And most of the 80s hits too.

I do as well. His music was always at least pleasant and well played, and nicely put over many of the top pop tunes of his era (mostly late 1920s-early 1950s).
And while Guy is often dismissed as dull and corny by many critics and jazz aficionados, he in fact had a lot of fine players. No less a jazz great than Louis Armstrong was a fan.

My dad is a big Guy Lombardo (and Kenny Gardner) fan. He used to listen to him on the radio in the late 40s to early 50s. Guy did a 30 minute TV show (about 30 to 40 shows) in 1956-1957. Our local PBS station ran those TV shows from about 1998-2002 every Saturday night at 7pm (following Lawrence Welk). I used to go visit my parents most Saturday nights in those years. Those shows made my dad real happy.
