This just turned up on YouTube. Remember a 1983 TV commercial for the Data Age made Journey Escape video game for the Atari 2600 featuring voice over narration by Casey Kasem?: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9n8rWC3NFUs

I remember that game - my brother borrowed it from a friend of his and we played it several times.
The Journey game I really liked was the arcade game. You played as each of the five band members, going through various obstacle courses to get their stolen instruments back. If you succeeded, you were transported to the concert stage, where you controlled Herbie Herbert, their tour manager, as he blocked the crowd from rushing the stage, stealing the instruments again. While this happens, an actual recording of Journey's "Separate Ways" is heard (as there was a tape inside the machine with the song on it).
Electronic versions of various songs by Journey are heard in the obstacle courses, including "Lights", "Wheel In The Sky", "Don't Stop Believin'", "Stone In Love", "Keep On Runnin'" and "Chain Reaction". I seem to remember I got up to the concert stage once, but one of the stages almost always tripped me up - not sure which one, though.

I remember Leeza Gibbons talking about Journey’s arcade game on her radio show “Hollywood Confidential” about 20 years ago. I used to play it at the arcade but don’t remember much about it except the different bandmembers were jumping on drums

When Bob Eubanks guest hosted for Casey Kasem on AT40 4/16/1983, Bob gave detailed instructions about the Atari Journey Escape video game to lead into Journey's song on the AT40 chart called "Seperate Ways".

Played the game in arcades and on my Atari when I was a kid. Not bad for a licensed game.
