I was listening to the American Top 40 show from October 7, 1978 (the first 4 hour show), on my way home from school on Monday night, and between the No. 3 song and the No. 2 song, Casey played a "Rock Fossil" and the song he played was "Till I Kissed 'Ya" by The Everly Brothers. 2 Questions:
1. What did Casey mean by "Rock Fossil"?
2. Was that the only time that Casey played a "Rock Fossil"?

My guess is that was another way of saying "golden oldie." Don't know if this phrase was ever used again as a feature name on AT40, though.
