On the This Day In AT40/AT20/AT10 history page, they did a look back at the American Top 40 show from July 19, 1980, and one of the stories that was mentioned on that show was Pete Townsend's hearing, where it stated that Pete was having some difficulties with his hearing, and it said that if he didn't give up rock music, then he would love his hearing by the time he was 40. I listened to Pete's story from that show and Casey said that his hearing did get better by wearing earplugs, but he later stopped wearing them, and he said that music was his life, and he was going to lose his hearing, then so be it. Does anybody know how his hearing is now?
