Not sure if this has been mentioned, but in Robert Palmer's "Simply Irresistible", several times throughout the song (including the very end) you can hear a sword unsheathing sound effect.

Street sounds at the very beginning of "West End Girls."
A belch in "Eat It."
The noise a fishing pole makes when you catch a big one, just after the line, "Love is the drug got a hook in me."
In "The Heart of Rock & Roll," two sounds become musical because they're timed to the beat: a car horn and a heartbeat played backwards.
In "9 to 5," a manual typewriter provides the rhythm for the verses -- or is it Dolly tapping her fingernails together? That's how she tells it.

There's the sound of a cork popping off a Champagne bottle in "Knockin' Boots" by Candyman. And that song maybe sampled the pre-AT40 hit "Groovin'" by The Young Rascals which starts off and ends with some birds chirping.

Water splashing at three or four different points in the Fat Boys and Beach Boys' Wipeout. And it sounds like there are some gunshots at the end of the song.

Bombs or machine guns in Duran Duran's "New Moon On Monday" Just heard this song today. During the instrumental break, it sounds like what are supposed to be rockets or missiles firing off.
