You know, I've been wondering if any sound effects from the Hanna-Barbera sound effects library have ever been used in songs that charted on AT40? The gunshot used in "Wild Wild West" by Escape Club sounded very reminiscent of a Hanna-Barbera sound effect.

Was the "Yabba-Dabba-D00" sound effect in the B.C. 5-2's "Meet the Flintstones" owned by Hanna-Barbera?

In "Empire Strikes Back" by Meco, there are sounds of lasers being shot, androids and light sabers. And maybe some spaceships.
Also, in "Breathe" by Blu Cantrell, there's the sound of tires screeching followed by a crash.

There are at least four examples in the first hour of the 7/23/77 show. And I assume they're all mentioned somewhere in this thread.

Does party chatter noises in Marvin Gaye's 1977 #1 song "Got To Give It Up Part 1" count? I'd say yes. And that was Marvin's second time using 'party chatter'. The first time was in "What's Going On?", which has both a party noise and a no party noise version.

Was Ariel based on a real girl Friedman knew?

Friedman said in an interview… In terms of Ariel herself, it was really an amalgamation of all these cute teenage girls in peasant blouses I had a crush on growing up in Paramus. www.songfacts.com/blog/playingmysong/dean-friedman-arielI LOVE this song. I like the longer version with the honkin sax solo in the middle. Check out the “The Deli Song (Corned Beef on Wry)”… I love this one also. youtu.be/prRK1o-1vOsListen to it without the video… it’s kinda different. I just discovered the video, I’ve been listening to the song for a few years now.

In 2 parts of the start of the 1977 song by Slave called "Slide" there's 2 soundings of a Harpo Marx horn.
