Legendary Muscle Shoals lead guitarist Jesse Willard "Pete" Carr passed away June 27 at the age of 70. Bob Seger, Joe Cocker, Boz Scaggs, Paul Simon, The Staple Singers, Rod Stewart, Barbra Streisand, Wilson Pickett, and Hank Williams, Jr. are some of the artists whose recordings were enhanced by Pete's guitar prowess. His contributions as part of the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section were very influential. As one half of the duo of Leblanc & Carr, they peaked at #13 in 1977 with "Falling". The single rode the Hot 100 for 26 weeks. Pete Carr Obituary

"Falling" was an awesome song-Too bad it doesn't receive recurrent airplay on stations that feature a greatest hits format.
