and ones which were always rotten.
I would just like to know which songs you used to like, but didnt hear for awhile and when you heard it again it didnt sound nearly as good as it did back then.
Also, the songs that you used to hate but now when you hear it you DO like it.
And the songs you have hated since Day 1 and still are terrible in your opinion to this day.
I am sure I will add more to these list as I hear some more Backtrax shows and am reminded of them or on the radio.
Songs that I used to like but now havent aged so well:
-One Headlight by Wallflowers -Underneath It All by No Doubt -Life is a Highway by Tom Cochrane
Songs I used to not like but like now:
- Love Will Lead You Back by Taylor Dayne
Songs I have ALWAYS hated:
-Nothing compared 2 U by "Pope Hater" Sinead O'Connor
Thats all I can think of off hand, what about you guys?

Cats In The Cradle by Harry Chapin and Lonely Boy by Andrew Gold are the songs I've hated since Day one.
For a while, I didn't like Drift Away by Uncle Kracker because WMC FM 100 in Memphis played it so much but now it isn't so bad. Same with Don't Tell Me by Madonna.

Songs I had no use for when I was younger but love now: "Spirit of Radio" and "Closer to the Heart" by Rush "Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty "The Closer I Get to You" by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway (not sure why I ever didn't like that one)
Songs that haven't aged very gracefully: "Emotional Rescue" by the Rolling Stones (not that it was ever any good) "Seasons in the Sun" by Terry Jacks "I Was Made For Loving You" by KISS

I don't have any specific examples, but I can tell you that frequency of radio airplay is a major factor when my opinion of a song changes. Particularly in the later 1990's, I would get horribly burned out on songs from months over radio overplay. But after a few years, I'd come to really like some of the songs again because I'd hear them a lot less frequently. In other words, the quality of the song never changed -- my like or dislike was fueled by other factors entirely.

I'm rather surprised that Paul didn't list any Weird Al songs.
I was watching VH-1 classics & Kansas was featured during their Headline Act half-hour segment. Robby Steinhardt, of Kansas, said that Carry Wayward Son is still a Top 5 played song on Classic Rock radio. Pretty good for a 28 year-old song. He aslo added that Dust In The Wind" has been played over 3 million times over past four decades.
Beyond that, it's my guess that people don't want to hear my opinion.

He didnt come to mind immediatley, but thanks....anything sung by Wierd Al and also David Bowie (except Little Drummer Boy w/Bing Crosby) has always been terrible also.
