Imagine this scenario. You're driving in your car, and a really good song comes on that you don't hear often. Unfortunately, you have to get out of the car before the song is over. Do you get annoyed? Even if you have the song at home and can hear it any time you want?
For me, there's just something about hearing a song on the radio that makes it sound better than if I randomly chose it on my MP3 player. It's almost like I prefer that someone else (or possibly a computer!) chose one of my favorite songs to play. I felt the same way when I would get to hear an AT40 flashback show. I don't own any AT40 shows, but I always figured I'd enjoy listening to it more from an actual radio station than picking a random show on my own time.
Does anybody else feel like that?

Yeah, I also get that feeling. The "I'm listening to it on the radio" factor definately makes me enjoy a song more...especially when it is unexpected, or when they say it's coming up and you know you want to hear it.
As for Casey shows....even though I have many old Casey shows and other radio shows nothing beats listening to the new show each weekend. It's just one of those things.

I can't say I feel like this. Primarily all I listen to now is both Backtrax USA shows and some christian music shows. So, when I listen to Friday Night 80's or the Saturday Night Party Mix for music, it is pretty much all the same stuff I hear anyway. Other than those "radio" shows, I primarily listen to political talk or sports talk radio.

The very same for me as MICHAEL1973 and BRETTVW. Nothing can be like listening to the current show "live" on the radio. I would stay up late at night to listen rather than putting in a tape the next day.
