Met Jim Peterik (Ides Of March, Survivor) at a record store many years ago. Great guy. He signed a rare Ides of March single (only one issued on Tower records), and a Chase 45 which he co-wrote and sang lead.
Just remembered I also met Greg Kihn at an event in 1994. Another nice guy who autographed a couple of 45s. At the time he was promoting his album "Mutiny", which took him in a different direction. Many styles of music were featured including a sea shanty "Blood Red Roses/Mutiny". He also covered songs made popular by Bob Dylan, Temptations, and Buddy Holly.

Meeting Bertie Higgins in a seedy hotel lounge in Las Vegas is now on my bucket list. The wild thing I took from that surreal experience wasn't so much that she knew "Key Largo" went to 8, but Bertie knew it as well. I think that's why he came and hung with us. He was genuinely impressed that someone else knew it as well so many years later. Irony is something I love and study, she took the thunder out of exasperation 🤣
