Yet another idea that will likely see more listeners stop listening than they will net new ones created for the station or podcasts.
If you are listening to the radio on Sunday night it’s because you want to hear whatever they are playing be it a radio show, just music, call in show, whatever. This is something being forced down every stations throat and thrust upon the listeners.

Agreed. A music formatted station stopping the music for a podcast just seems silly. Podcast listeners likely aren’t listening to music radio and the general audience of the station wants to hear music.
Hopefully stations can at least bury this in the 11-Midnight slot.

If this were a talk station where they just remove 1 hour of whatever comes on there, that’s be one thing. That’s the audience that’s used to and likes talk. But doing this on music channels where the audience is tuning in for Ariana Grande and then hears some random talk show about some subject the audience largely couldn’t care less about makes no sense to me at all. This isn’t a public affairs offering required by the FCC or aired because the station feels the need to be a good community partner. It’s being forced down everyone’s throat by the parent company trying anything it can to gain traction for another of its ventures.

Plus, they can air those public affairs shows at 5am Sunday when truly no one is listening. 11pm Sunday is a pretty low rated time as well, but I wouldn't be thrilled to air it.

Does this mean that Jack FM may be airing the 80's edition of "AT40" at an earlier time?

Yes. Last week they moved the show to 7-11pm.

While WQSR has moved Casey to one hour earlier than before, it's not playing a podcast in the 11 PM hour, but rather just more music. The station doesn't have any DJ's or to my knowledge any regularly scheduled programming other than AT40.
