How many stations did Casey voice bumpers for Classic AT40 reruns before he passed and how many are still using them, I wonder?
I know KOLA airs the bumpers all the time.
WNIC in Detroit (my terrestrial Classic AT40 station) airs them as well (with the call letters, so I know they weren't spliced together.) This one is odd because as far as I am aware, they just started airing Classic AT40 a couple years ago, long after Casey passed.
All the bumpers I have heard were most likely voiced a few years before Casey passed, as you can tell it's "elderly" Casey.
Does anyone know other stations that are still using Casey-voiced bumpers?

I have not heard any of the Casey-voiced 'bumpers' in a long time. Did not realize any station was still airing them. Personally, they made me fell kind of sad, as Casey sounded so 'elderly', as you put it, in them.

Casey produced custom liners by request for AT40 70s and 80s stations until he ended AT20/AT10. I know many stations stopped using them in 2014 after he passed away. I know WMJI had them, and WQSR had a Legal ID voiced by Casey that accompanied their comedic AT40 rejoin sweeps. Sirius XM 70s on 7 had them as well.
This isn’t WNIC’s first go around with AT40 the 80s. Plus, they aired AT10 for many years, so there is a chance the sweeps are reused from then as well.
At the time, it wasn’t as noticeable how old Casey sounded when we were hearing that version of his voice on the current shows. But to hear a 2008/2009 voiced promo into a segment of AT40 70s or 80s, it can be jarring.

WQSR still uses bumpers that they created from Casey outtakes that weren’t intended for air (I.e. the “dead dog dedication”.). That may not be what you were thinking, but his voice is still leading them in and out of AT40 commercial breaks.

That may not be what you were thinking, but his voice is still leading them in and out of AT40 commercial breaks. When Casey was still alive they had a top of the hour ID that was 2000s era Casey reading “Now - back to American Top 40 the 80s on WQSR & WQSR HD1 Baltimore” You can hear it here: tophour.com/audio/Baltimore%20MD/fm1027_2009-08_wqsr_wharms.mp3As for the current liners and TOH sweeps they use with the Casey outtakes - some may not like them, but I think they are fantastic!
