I was wondering if any board members have heard Weezer's remake of Toto's 1982 smash "Africa"-Personally,I think it's quite good-Another version that I liked is by the acapella group Straight No Chaser-That can be found on You Tube.

Oh, I'm very impressed with Weezer's cover of "Africa". They follow the original arrangement almost to a T, except they end it abruptly after the vocals end, instead of drawing out the instrumental fade. It just goes to show that you can't keep a good song down. Both Weezer and today's kids recognize that certain songs from the '80's are timeless.

Karl Wolf did this too around the late 2000s, and did well in the Canadian Hot 100 when it charted (even Japan had success too).

I like it too. Both Ryan and Rick are playing it on their countdown shows. Hot AC at least.

I hated it at first but now I love it. I love their cover of Rosanna as well.

In this day and age, it seems like most top-40 songs have that abrupt ending. Guess fadeouts aren't exactly timeless, huh?
