Here's one for you... I've been listening to the July 1995 CT40 shows. On some of the into-break jingles, various sound effects are sometimes heard after Casey finishes his tease but before the singers come in. They're not part of the jingles. Any idea what that was all about? (The copies I have are from original sources, so this isn't something an affiliate did.)

Scott, any chance you (or anybody else) knows when the first spot for Toyota and the all-new Tacoma was on the program? I don't have access to the sheets to scour through, I am thinking it was during April of '95 but might be in May or during the summer since the first truck was a 95 1/2 model year thanks!

I'll have to listen to those shows. I know Chevy sponsored many of the spring and early summer 1995 shows, and many spots are touting the then-new Cavalier. I'll update this post if I get an answer.
As for the sound effects, good question...one that I've wondered myself. The first show in my copies that have them (at least in a separate track) is the 7/8 show, and the last show to have it is the last weekly show of the year, 12/16. Not all shows in between have it, though.

I have some other WW1 programs from '95 that might also have them, just recalled that I had previously heard them many years ago on CT40 definitely remember the Chevy Cavalier spots, classic!

I haven't looked through all of them yet, but many of the cue sheets for the Casey's Top 40 shows are available here.

I am listening to the 7/8/95 show and after "When I Come Around" at #25, Casey teases a story about Michael Jackson and his fear of flying. And while the jingle is playing, what sounds like a cartoon voice saying something to the likes of MCGUUUGGGLE and then a sound effect that sounds like the cartoon character takes off running. I thought it was a riff on MJ at first and then I remembered this thread. Scott Lakefield, OnWithTheCountdown did you ever have any luck figuring it out?

I'm not quite sure, but my copy (which is the earliest one I have that includes these sound effects) is on a separate track, and it's different than the one used in the tease. Many of the shows I have beginning with 7/8, going to 12/16, have these. The track itself is just a few seconds. Some Casey's Hot 20 shows have them, too, as well as the Casey's Countdown show from 7/1/1995 (which is the latest 1995 regular CC show I own before the year-end). Must've been a WW1 thing in the second half of 1995. They weren't on the 1995 year-ends, nor in any of the 1996 shows.

Like is it a certain segment, or jingle?

I plan on doing a 1995 CT40 marathon next year.

However it wasn't the same sound effect found actually in the show. So weird!
