Tomorrow,6/15/2018,marks the fourth anniversary of Casey's passing-I remember receiving a phone call that morning from a close friend who broke the news to me-As Larry Morgan notes at the close of both "AT40-The 70's" & "AT40-The 80's"-Casey was "the legend where the countdown began"-I couldn't agree more.

I know that my own Dad passed away a couple of months before Casey, which made Father's Day 2014 a very memorable one for me.
I know I learned of Casey's passing from the 70's on 7 channel on SiriusXM.
Let me say that I am grateful to this board for connecting me with other people that enjoy pop music, following the charts, and AT40.
May we all remember our loved ones in ways that honor them, as long as we live.

Indeed, a sad day. Fortunately we're able to celebrate Casey's radio talents, as well as all those who worked beside him, with each and every AT40, CT40, AT20, and AT10 program. Since Rob Durkee is not too active on this message board any longer, I'll take the liberty of posting his tribute to Casey. From his perspective, it includes a Long Distance Dedication, and a trifecta of Top 5 lists -- Casey's greatest stories, Casey's greatest tributes, and Casey's funniest stories. www.angelfire.com/music4/at40coc/tribute.html

At the time of Casey's June 2014 death, WLS 94.7 FM Chicago wasn't playing AT40: The 70's since it dropped the show originally in November 2013 and wouldn't bring it back until April 2016 (And as of April 2018 WLS 94.7 FM Chicago replaced AT40: The 70's in favor of AT40: The 80's).
