Guest Host Calendar (Jan 1989 - Mar 1998)

As was done in the AT40 Classics Folder with the original Casey and Shadoe era, here is a list of the guest-hosted shows on Casey's Top 40.  There were only two guest hosts in CT40 history - Mark Elliott, and David Perry.  (If you include the week before AT40's return on 3/28/1998, then Jeff Wyatt makes three.)

Mark Elliott guest-hosted every show through 3/20/1993, and David Perry guest-hosted from 7/10/1993 through 3/14/1998.

March wins here (well, put an asterisk on 1998 since all the non-AT40 weeks were guest-hosted, which drove up the total), followed by, what else, July.  Every May show throughout the run was hosted by Casey.  Only three shows from April through June in the entire run was guest-hosted.

There were three instances where one month had more than one guest-hosted show, all in the earlier years - July 1989, July 1990, and February 1991. During the entire CT40 run, there weren't any back-to-back guest-hosted shows (excluding the very end of the run, when Casey was gone for the last four shows). There was a close instance of that in July 1989, when Mark Elliott had hosted two of three shows (7/8 and 7/22).

89 is amazing. Takes a week off, back a week, then another week off, back for 2, off again, back for another 3, out again.

Unsure - I wish I could find a list somewhere. The only show I have from that date is the Top 40 Countdown with Jeff Wyatt, whom I think also hosted the Hot AC version (might be wrong).

I was in an area at the time where a local station aired Casey's Hot 20/American Top 20 on Sunday mornings, and CT40/AT40 on Sunday evenings. I was spoiled in that regard - got two shows every weekend, and I enjoyed both of them very much.

It turns out that what the month of May was on CT40, the month of February was on 1980s AT40. No guest-hosted shows prevailed during those months.
