For those of you who listen to American Top 10, I'm sure that many of you have noticed that many pop stars of the past are now doing Adult Contemporary music. Acts like Phil Collins, Michael McDonald, Hall & Oates, and many others. It seems that they have now switched to AC music for these reasons:
1. They have gotten older.
2. Their audience has gotten older with them and their music.
3. The younger music audience are not interested in their newer material, and are not fans of AC music.
4. Their music no longer fits the pop music category.
For whatever reason, there really isn't any clear cut answer.
