The former head of ABC Radio, there when they acquired Watermark; later left to form his own company, EFM Media Management, best known for putting Rush Limbaugh into national syndication. McLaughlin was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 1995, and Inside Radio reported he was to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Broadcasters Foundation of America (of which he was past chairman) this May in New York. A remembrance at Talkers by longtime radio consultant Walter Sabo notes the big welcome McLaughlin gave Casey and Jean in New York after the Watermark acquisition. He was 92. dL
