It has just been announced that Dolores O'Riordan, lead singer of the Irish band The Cranberries, known for chart hits like "Linger", "Zombie" and "When You're Gone", died suddenly earlier today in London.

The article stated that she was suffering from severe depression and was mentally ill when she got in trouble with the law in 2014.
Sounds like a possible suicide.

The article stated that she was suffering from severe depression and was mentally ill when she got in trouble with the law in 2014. Sounds like a possible suicide. That's what I'm thinking. She tried to take her life about five years ago by deliberately OD'ing.

That is really sad. I just heard yesterday the 1/7/95 AT40 when Shadoe told a story about how she was the reason the band changed their name from Cranberry Sauce to the Cranberries. And was the reason they became a success. RIP.

Sad really tragic....my favorite song from the Cranberries was Animal Instinct. RIP Dolores gonna miss you.....
