It Was Fun While It Lasted...

For the past 6 months or so, as some of you may know, AhlenFm (the A.T. 40 affilliate in Ahman, Jordan) was streaming a high-speed stream of the current week's show commercial-free (the international version doesn't have the commercials built-in), with only 2 promos per hour between segments (top and bottom of the hour). It was streaming on Thursday mornings from 9am-12:30pm (east coast time). Well, a couple of weeks ago, someone (either from Premiere or A.T. 40 affiliate relations) must've got wind of this and put an end to it, as they are no longer streaming the show. Too bad, it was GREAT, (CD quality with a T-1 connection) and recordable in MP3. Oh well...

I've been able to check the stream this Saturday and AT40 was on.

That is great news! I originally didn't bother to check to see if they did air it on Saturdays because I had it recorded by 1pm on Thursdays. I assume they aired it the same way, two promos per hour?

What I catched was #19 and 18...
I didn't listen to whole of the show.

Just wondering:
Did you use the homepage www.ahlainfm.com/rs/index.php

Because there the sound quality is terrible and the "other players"
of different quality seem to link to the same awful 40k source.

The stream is 64k, but the quality is kind of dull... I don't know if it was better before.
Maybe initiator of this post can provide info on that.

I haven't been able to pick up this stream for a couple of months. Has anyone else been able to make this work--I'm assuming it isn't a problem with my windows media player...
